Ed Hood, D.D.S. – Denham Springs
Dr. Ed Hood is a native of and resident of Denham Springs, LA. He is a 1977 graduate of Denham Springs High School. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1985. He is a member of the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association as well as the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hood’s passion and desire is to provide the highest quality dentistry to all patients with the latest in technology and with highly trained personnel whose primary focus is patient care in a professional atmosphere, where comfort and trust are priority. Dr. Hood attends numerous continuing education courses every year to stay current with enhancements that make dentistry easier and more comfortable for patients. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and playing golf.
Andrew Hood, D.D.S. – Watson
Dr. Andrew Hood is a native and resident of Denham Springs. After graduating from Denham Springs High School in 2004, he completed his undergraduate courses in Biological Sciences at LSU and continued to earn his DDS from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is dedicated to providing personalized care to all of his patients by using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and staying current with the newest and best techniques available in modern dentistry. Andrew Hood is proud to work alongside his father and continue his legacy of bringing healthy beautiful smiles to people.
Kyle Free, D.D.S. – Zachary – Main
Dr. Kyle Free was born and raised in Baton Rouge. He graduated from Catholic High School in 2007 then completed his undergraduate degree at LSU where he received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After graduating from LSU, Dr. Free went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. In his spare time, Dr. Free enjoys hunting, fishing, and attending LSU sporting events as well as spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Amanda Sandifer, D.D.S. – Denham Springs
Dr. Amanda Sandifer is a native of Baton Rouge. After graduating from St. Joseph’s Academy in 2008, Dr. Sandifer completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN in 2012. She graduated an alumna of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She then returned to Louisiana to attend LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans to earn her DDS, after which she brought her dental care expertise to Hood Dental Care in 2017. Patients appreciate her gentle techniques! In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, and watching sports.
Holly Cantu, D.D.S – Livingston
Dr. Holly Cantu was raised in Denham Springs, LA where she graduated from Denham Springs High School. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology from Lousiana State University. She then attended LSU School of Dentistry to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In her spare time, she enjoys being a mom to her young son and spending time with family.
Our doctors are active members of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Hood, and Dr. Andrew have advanced training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and CPR. They are certified to provide nitrous oxide sedation and oral conscious sedation.
Alexander Simon, D.D.S – Denham Springs
Dr. Alexander Simon is a native and resident of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Catholic High in 2011, and earned a degree in Biological Sciences from LSU. He attended LSU school of dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Alexander strives to offer gentle and compassionate care to make every patient feel comfortable and welcomed in the dental chair. Dr. Alexander has a passion for learning and providing the most up to date treatment options that cater to each patient individually. In his free time, Dr. Alexander loves to tailgate/watch LSU sports, travel, cook, play soccer, and golf.
Danny Marrazzo , D.D.S. – Zachary – Ridgeway
Dr. Danny Marrazzo grew up in Alexandria and moved to Baton Rouge to earn his Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences at LSU. He then attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He now lives in Denham Springs and enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain oral health via the most up to date and minimally invasive techniques. In his spare time, Dr. Danny enjoys fishing, cheering on the Saints and Tigers, and spending time with his family.
Rebecca Tatum, D.D.S.- Watson
Dr. Rebecca Tatum was raised in Baton Rouge, La. After graduating from Parkview Baptist School, she received her Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University . She then attended LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Tatum loves dentistry because it gives her the opportunity to get to know patients personalities while helping them become healthy and confident in their smiles. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, fishing in Grand Isle with her family, and playing tennis!
Sydney Lahasky, D.D.S. – Denham Springs & Livingston
Dr. Sydney Lahasky grew up in New Iberia, Louisiana with her parents and three sisters, including an identical twin sister. She moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU, where she was introduced to dentistry. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. She then spent time as a dental assistant before attending LSU School of Dentistry graduating in the top of her class.
Dr. Lahasky has always been drawn to the hands-on aspect of dentistry, providing patients with a solution, whether the problem be pain, discomfort, or cosmetic. As a child, Sydney was able to experience firsthand how one’s smile can impact their self-confidence. She loves how dentistry gives her the opportunity to instill that same self-confidence in her patients, confidence that every person deserves! She is eager to build relationships with her patients and serve the Livingston Parish community.

Jordan Boone, D.D.S. – Denham Springs
Dr. Jordan Boone is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University. Having grown up in neighboring Mississippi, she is proud to call Louisiana home. Dr. Boone strives to provide the best possible care to her patients through comprehensive treatment. From an early age, her study of classical piano helped to develop her sense of accuracy, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. Dr. Boone enjoys traveling, baking, and going on walks with her husband, Zack, and their baby, Olivia. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to Hood Dental Care.
